What is the \u201cBaldwin & La Fontaine: Toward Responsible Government\u201d project?\n<\/p>\n
The Canadian Foundation for Cross-Cultural Dialogue, which initiated the project, works to promote and sustain dialogue and connections between the different components of Canadian society. The Foundation oversees various projects, including the Rendez-vous de la Francophonie (RVF).<\/p>\n
The Foundation hopes to inform Canadians about responsible government and to kindle their interest in this political process. Although the achievement of responsible government was a key moment in our country\u2019s history, it is poorly understood by many citizens. <\/p>\n
This project is made possible through the financial support of the Department of Canadian Heritage, as part of the Canada\u00a0150 celebrations.\n<\/p>\n
The documentaries <\/p>\n
The Canadian Foundation for Cross-Cultural Dialogue commissioned four member institutions of the Association des coll\u00e8ges et universit\u00e9s de la francophonie canadienne to create teams of highly qualified students. These teams were responsible for producing documentaries that provide answers the following questions:<\/p>\n

La Cit\u00e9\u2019s mission is to meet the university education needs of Saskatchewan\u2019s French-speaking population, regardless of first language. It sets itself apart through its community engagement, its experimental education and its interdisciplinary research approaches. La Cit\u00e9<\/em> is a place to reflect on\u2014and to experience\u2014the Francophonie. La Cit\u00e9 universitaire<\/em> is therefore proud of its diverse contributions to the development of the Fransaskois community. Its research centre (CRFM) is focused on rigorous, innovative, bold and comparative approaches to understanding the challenges and advantages of living in a minority context.<\/p>\n The University of Sudbury is committed to encouraging and supporting its students as they undertake humanity\u2019s perennial quest for ultimate meaning. The courses and programs offered by the University of Sudbury therefore aim to foster an outlook that seeks and embraces truth. Located in Northeastern Ontario, the University of Sudbury is dedicated to the official cultural bilingualism of the region. It provides courses and programs in both French and English, insofar as enrolment warrants, and consistently supports the cultural development of Anglophone and Francophone communities.<\/p>\n Firmly rooted in the National Capital Region and in Eastern Ontario for the last quarter century, La Cit\u00e9 is Ontario\u2019s largest French-language college of applied arts and technology. It offers a total of 140\u00a0postsecondary programs and makes student success its highest priority. In addition to its main campus in Ottawa, its agri-food training and research institute (IFRA) in Alfred, its satellite campus in Hawkesbury and its Business Office in Toronto, La Cit\u00e9 operates a skilled trades institute equipped with the most recent technology on the Alphonse-Desjardins Campus in Orl\u00e9ans.<\/p>\n USB immerses students in a dynamic and intensive educational environment, allowing them to pursue advanced studies while improving their mastery of French. Graduating students leave not only with a diploma in hand, but also with a range of skills and competencies, especially bilingualism, that are in demand on the job market. At USB, our goal is to provide students with the tools they need for success! How? By offering a better professional training environment, but also by maintaining close relationships with employers and remaining abreast of the skills and competencies they are looking for.
